A quick SMS full of ‘textese’ acronyms to arrange a catch up.  An email to check how someone is.  A card to let a friend know you care.  A letter to complain to your bank!   We write in lots of mediums for lots of reasons.  Today we celebrate the last Sunday of Easter with a look at the final chapter of John’s first letter, verses 9-13.  Why did he write?  See verse 13 – it is immense and it trumps pretty much all writing before and after (although with the exception of other sacred Scripture I think on which it is at a par!)  John’s message – the Holy Spirit’s inspirited message – we’ll look at today, receive and rejoice in!
