Isn’t it lovely when someone prays for you. How much more special is it when it is your Lord Jesus?The night before Jesus dies he prays for his followers (John 17; our text this weekend is specifically 17:1-11). Think of it as like Jesus’ last will and testament for his church, but also, as surely as Christ lives and reigns, a living proclamation of his ongoing work for us.  Let us give him the glory and thank him that he calls us to be his servants as we live in his body, the church.
